Training

Shaw healthcare provide a comprehensive training programme which is tailored specifically to the type of service you work in.

We use a range of blended learning solutions to delivery statutory training and use accelerated learning methods within the classroom setting to provide a positive, experiential and effective learning journey, regardless of the subject matter! We work closely with Services to ensure that the training provided meets the needs of the teams and enables them to meet the needs of our Service Users and deliver a high quality of care provision.

Our suite of Dementia related development courses are highly effective and we have been approached by one of the London Borough Councils to purchase this training for their staff.

Shaw healthcare are an accredited centre with City and Guilds, a global leader in skills development, and we have our own team of in-house Assessors working with our learners to ensure they have a positive learning experience and gain a qualification which holds great value. Qualifications we deliver include:

  • Level 2 Health and Social Care
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care
  • Certificate in Dementia Awareness
  • Certificate in Supporting Individuals with a Learning Disability
  • Level 5 Leadership for Health and Social Care

We have introduced a Management Competency Framework which clearly defines what is expected of different levels of Managers within Shaw healthcare. It supports the effective development of Managers through Supervision, Appraisal, formal and informal development activities and enables anyone to make their aspirations for career development become a reality.

Our Training and Development department also have a number of exciting projects in development regarding career pathways; talent management and development programmes with external partners.
